PROSPECTIVE
ATHLETES

We would love to hear from you about your interest in playing at Woodward!

Woodward girls' soccer program is a team on the rise.  Last year's young core returns with most of its starters intact.  This team is poised for a strong season in the NEPSAC.  One of the finest prep school programs in New England, the girls' team has won NEPSAC championships in the past.

Woodward's Soccer Team competes in the New England Preparatory Scholastic Athletic Conference (NEPSAC), Class D, Girls Independent League (G.I.L.).  Some student athletes at Woodward have gone on to compete in the N.C.A.A. in soccer.

Traditions that are passed down every year are important to the girls' soccer program:

  • Pre-season workouts begin in August
  • At our annual athletics banquet, individual athletes and teams are recognized for their contributions during the season
  • Championship Team Banners are hung at school to recognize team success
  • Occasionally student athletes numbers are retired and hung at school to honor their achievements

Players are expected to play with pride and determination and represent Woodward with sportsmanship and class.  The coaching staff supports this effort by fostering not only technical and tactical play, but also the camaraderie that is essential to a positive experience in any athletic endeavor.
