COVID-19 Resources & Information
The Woodward School's top priority is the health & safety of our community and addressing the COVID-19 Pandemic. This page explains COVID-19 resources, programs, and protocols designed to help our students maintain a safe learning environment. This page will be updated on an ongoing basis. Stay connected, stay informed, and stay safe.
Our state-of-the-art HVAC system maintains airflow in all classrooms and community spaces. All students, staff, and visitors wear masks indoors during the academic day and maintain physical distancing. Our custodial staff cleans and disinfects surfaces on campus regularly. Our students are given the opportunity to go outside periodically for fresh air and take mask breaks. When students eat lunch, they spread out to maintain safe distancing.
Over ninety-four percent of our students and staff are vaccinated, and 100% participate in weekly school-based COVID-19 Testing. If someone is in close contact with an individual who tested positive, they may test and stay if they test negative. If a student in our testing program tests positive, they may participate in their classes remotely if they feel up to it.
After school vacations, everyone must receive a PCR test to return to school. If a community member does not come back into school the first day after a break and misses our Weekly Safety Check, then they have a PCR test performed on their own before reentry.
The Woodward Campus Safety Team meets regularly to ensure we do everything we can to maintain the safest possible learning environment for everyone in our community. If you have any questions about Woodward's COVID-19 Safety program or protocols, you may contact Nurse Lebo by email.
The Woodward School reserves the right to revise these policies based on new information available to us, including the school's assessment of local and state conditions (including numbers and trends of COVID-19 cases) and public health guidance.
