Woodward’s Post-Graduate (PG) year is intentionally designed as a bridge between high school and college, combining focused academic study, meaningful real-world experiences, and leadership development in a supportive all-girls environment.

Whether a young woman seeks to deepen her academic foundation, sharpen her study skills, explore interests, or gain a thoughtful year of growth before college, this year provides a focused, supportive environment. The academic component of the PG year is intentionally designed to support growth, confidence, and readiness for college. PG students engage in an academic program tailored to their goals and readiness with coursework that emphasizes:

Real-world experience is an important component of the Woodward Post-Graduate year. Students have the opportunity to pursue internships during the school year and applied learning experiences aligned with their interests and goals.
Internships may take place on campus at Woodward, off campus in Quincy, in the greater Boston area, or through a combination of in-person and remote opportunities.
These experiences allow students to gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing confidence, independence, and practical skills for college and beyond.
