While attending Woodward, Madeline was a member of the Woodward Basketball team and was a participant in the Woodward Drama productions. She served as Student Body Vice-President in her senior year and also as an attorney for the first Woodward Mock Trial team. Madeline went on to attend and graduate with her B.A. and Masters from Ithaca College. She currently works as a teacher and administrator in the Providence office of Year Up!
Madeline is presently serving as Co-Chair / Fundraising Chair for the Woodward Alumnae Leadership Council.
Therese Maloney graduated from Woodward in 1947 and has remained an engaged and committed Alumna. She is a Harvard Business School graduate, was in the 1981 “Who's Who of American Women” and though now retired, Therese was the first woman Executive Vice-President of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Her civic affiliations are numerous, having served on Suffolk University’s Financial Advisory Board, the Board of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, and the Liberty Mutual board, to name a few. Above all, Therese has remained connected to, and immensely supportive of her Alma Mater! Therese was honored as one of Woodward's Women of Distinction in 2015.
Josephine Shea is director of sales and marketing at Connors & Co., an investment firm. She has worked extensively with Quincy Community Action Programs, where she has served on the board since 2008 and is current president. She is also a member of the Quincy Park and Recreation Board. Josephine was honored in as a Woodward Women of Distinction in 2012.
Soccer is important to the Woodward community and Kristine Lilly’s accomplishments on the soccer pitch are almost too numerous to list. The New England native is a two-time World Cup champion, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist who represented the United States in five different World Cups and played in three Olympiads. Lilly is the fourth all-time leading scorer in world history, all-time leader in minutes played and has appeared in more international soccer matches than any person in world history – male or female. Kristine was honored as a Woodward Women of Distinction in 2018.
Beth Ann Strollo has devoted her career to the mission of Quincy Community Action Programs, Inc. (QCAP). Established in 1965 as the community action agency serving Quincy, QCAP currently provides a comprehensive array of services to over 22,000 low-income residents from 80 communities with an annual budget of $21 million dollars. Beth Ann has worked in QCAP’s executive management team for 34 of its 52 years in existence. Beth Ann was honored as a Woodward Women of Distinction in 2016.
Wendy Simmons has been the President and Founder of Prism Energy Services, a state, and federally certified Woman-Owned Business, since 1998. The firm is an energy services company that conducts energy audits on large commercial and municipal buildings and installs the energy improvements they recommend. Wendy is proud to lead her company, as the only woman-owned firm in an industry and marketplace dominated by men. Wendy was honored as a Woodward Scool Women of Distinction in 2017.
While attending Woodward, Tanesha was a member of the Woodward Soccer team (captain, all-league all-star, retired #18) and served as President for the Student body, Class of 2003, and National Honor Society and Captained and was an Attorney for the first Woodward Mock Trial team. Tanesha went on from Woodward to graduate from Boston College and New England Law | Boston. She currently works as a solo practitioner at her firm the Law Office of T. R. Wright in Boston, MA.
Born and raised in Quincy, Laurie Graf, is the founder of Center Stage Performing Arts Studio in Quincy, Massachusetts, a studio serving over 200 students throughout the South Shore. Laurie graduated from The Woodward School in 1991 and received a B.A in Psychology from Stonehill College in Easton, MA and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA.
While attending Woodward Jaime was a member of the Woodward Basketball team. After Woodward, Jaime studied Business at Mount Ida College and worked for the Epilepsy Foundation of America. Jaime more recently, has returned to the Big Blue House as the Rockstar behind the desk as the Office Manager at the Woodward School for Girls.
