Woodward School College Counseling
The college preparation and application process is exciting, but it must be thoughtfully approached and navigated. There are over 3000 colleges and universities in the United States, and many other options abroad, so the search process can, at first, seem overwhelming. The process of applying to college has become increasingly complex and daunting over the last decade, including the factor of cost. At Woodward, we work closely with students and families to inform, guide and assist you to organize the college exploration, application, selection, and financing process.
The college counseling process is a central aspect of a student’s experience at Woodward. It begins in Grade 9 through group seminars, where students are familiarized with The College Board and other important resources. Through counseling, students are assisted to identify their strengths, talents, interests, and preferences for the type of college they would like to attend. They are informed about what lies ahead, and given the tools to prepare strongly for college, and to move confidently through junior and senior year, when the process is narrowed and more individualized.
Representatives from various colleges and universities visit Woodward each year to meet with students and present their programs. Woodward parents are encouraged to call The College Counseling Office with any questions related to the college counseling and admissions process.
If you have any questions about college concealing, please call Alyssa Colby at 617-773-5610 or email her at email@example.com.
